As the Media Technology Manager for the Mayborn School of Journalism, Chuck is responsible for managing and monitoring all the photography and video equipment used by the students in their productions and overseeing the broadcast editing lab.
Chuck began working in television as a production assistant at KAMU-TV (PBS) while attending Texas A&M University. While there he did a everything from sweeping the studio floors to building sets to directing live nightly newscasts. While working at KAMU-TV, he had the opportunity to spend a day with Mario Andretti at Texas World Speedway while shooting a program for Trans World International.
After stints in broadcast and non-broadcast jobs, Chuck began working in education, first at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and then at UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth for six years.
Chuck transferred to the University of North Texas in Denton in 1995 to work as a producer/director for the Center for Media Production (CMP). He covered every college and school on campus while working for CMP. Chuck is particularly proud to have directed the inaugurations of two school presidents.
Chuck began working in the Mayborn School of Journalism in January 2010 and is excited to help students and faculty with media technology.
