Ben Weaver is an adjunct instructor who teaches introductory photojournalism classes as well as the advanced portfolio and editing class.

Ben has more than 35 years of professional experience as a freelance photojournalist. Much of his work has focused on sports photography. He has photographed the Olympics, World Series, Stanley Cup, The Final Four, NFL playoffs, MLB playoffs and hundreds of regular season games.

He has also photographed major events around the country including Michael Jackson’s Victory Tour, Jessica--the little girl in the well, the nuclear meltdown at Three Mile Island, the Branch Davidian siege in Waco, several national political conventions and political campaigns, events at the White House and more.

His photographs have been published Time, Newsweek, People, Life, Sport Illustrated, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times Sunday magazine and numerous European publications. He also worked as a staff photographer for The National daily sports newspaper.

Ben has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He is the owner of GameAction Photography in Plano, Texas, which focuses on youth sports.
