Media Technology Manager
Chuck Weatherall began working in the Journalism school in 2010 and is excited to be helping students and faculty with their media technology issues.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a minor in journalism, Texas A&M
Weatherall is the Media Technology Manager for the Mayborn School of Journalism. He is responsible for managing and monitoring all the photography and video equipment used by the students in their productions and overseeing the broadcast editing lab.
Weatherall began working in television as a production assistant at KAMU-TV (PBS) while attending Texas A&M. He did a little bit of everything — from sweeping the studio floors to directing live nightly newscasts. One highlight from his time there was spending the day videotaping Mario Andretti at Texas World Speedway.
After stints in both broadcast and non-broadcast environments, he began working in education, first with UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and then with the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth.
Weatherall transferred to the UNT Denton campus as a Producer/Director with the Center for Media Production. He worked with every college and school on campus. He is particularly proud to have directed the inaugurations of two school presidents.
