Maureen Landers is the academic budget officer for the School of Journalism, projecting expenditures and keeping the budgets solvent.

Landers also awards scholarships. She helps students with payments of scholarships or following up on a check from payroll.

Experience:

Landers is a native of England, but has lived in the U.S. since she was 17. She attended the University of Rhode Island, then moved to Wisconsin where she worked as a general contractor with her former husband for several years. She taught kindergarten and middle school for almost 20 years, and moved to Texas in 2001.

Landers has two children. A son and grandson live in Chicago. Her daughter, son-in-law, and three granddaughters live in Denton. She loves to read, travel, decorate and bake.
