The Mayborn is now accepting applications for the 2023 spring semester for an NBCU Scholarship up to $5,000. All journalism news students may submit this application to be considered for scholarships that will be awarded for January 2023-May 2023. Deadline is Thursday, December 1 at 5 p.m.

    • Must be a junior or senior by spring 2023 semester
    • Must have a minimum 2.5 UNT GPA at time of application

Some scholarships require completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We encourage all UNT students to complete the FAFSA annually at www.fafsa.gov to ensure all available financial resources may be utilized. Early application ensures the best opportunity to compete for available funding. If your citizenship prevents you from completing the FAFSA, you may be eligible to complete the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) available through College for All Texans or the Texas Public Education Grant for International Students (TPEG-I) Application available through the UNT International Office.
