Ana Cristina Reymundo
Ana Cristina Reymundo is the Editorial Director of American Airlines-Nexos, a bilingual (Spanish and Portuguese) publication with 30 million readers in 33 different countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. She launched the award-winning magazine in March of 1999. Nexos is the Spanish-language magazine of American Airlines and has the largest circulation of any magazine on the planet.
Ana Cristina is a published author. Her book on the late great diva of Afro-Cuban music, Celia Cruz entitled Celia Mi Vida,—co-written with Celia Cruz, the book has a foreword by world renown Poet Laureate Dr. Maya Angelou. It was published by Rayo an Imprint of Harper Collins in 2004.
She sits on several boards including the Board of Trustees for the American Immigration Law Foundation, the Board of Advisors of the University of North Texas Frank W Mayborn Graduate School of Journalism, and is a Principal and member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto de la Mujer, USA.
Ana Cristina is a public speaker and lecturer on matters related to Latin American culture and diversity, Ana Cristina is also a tireless advocate for Hispanic causes both in the community and in the work place. She is an award-winning journalist and has three times been named as one of America’s Top 50 Most Influential Hispanic Journalists by Hispanic Media Trends. She has participated in many local, regional and national task forces formed to address areas as diverse as: literacy, health, arts and culture as well as civil rights.
She speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Farsi, Italian, German, and is currently learning Hebrew. She lectures at community events, professional organizations, not-for-profit groups, university campuses and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs as well as multiple print media.
