Chris' passion for broadcast journalism dates back to childhood recordings of newscasts on his family's Panasonic VHS camera and now he brings two decades of experience to Mayborn School of Journalism students.
Currently a corporate communications leader at State Farm, Chris has managed proactive media relations and storytelling, issues management, communications strategy, and regulatory communications.
In his public affairs and external communications role, Chris leverages more than a decade of newsroom experience daily. Prior to joining State Farm, he was News Assignments Manager at FOX 4 - KDFW-TV in Dallas, a multimedia journalist for FOX 2 - KTVI-TV in St. Louis, and anchored radio news in St. Louis and Cincinnati.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor's degree from University of North Texas in 2020 and is currently completing a Master's at Texas Tech University in Strategic Communications and Innovation.
A St. Louis native, Chris now resides in Plano, Texas with his wife and four children.
