Hoda Emam is an award-winning journalist and filmmaker with nearly 20 years of experience, covering in-depth research and reporting with a focus on early childhood inequities, food insecurity and adolescent health. Hoda is also a passionate advocate of inclusion within the world of journalism with a focus on providing a village for new and current journalists. She is currently a visual journalism lecturer at the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas.
Her work has been published by NBC News, the Harvard Public Health Magazine, Reuters, Chicago Sun-Times, CBS News, Bay City News and The Guardian. She holds a master’s degree in digital media from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
